A big warm welcome to Lisden Kennels Golden Retrievers , based at Mitchells Flat , about 20 kms outside of Singleton in the beautiful Hunter valley. Our 26 acres property is a perfect setting for our small but professional kennels. Our Goldens are able to frolic to their hearts content sharing the acreage with my families horses, cats and birds.

I first became interested in Golden Retrievers as a teenager. I loved their beauty, grace and there temperament and in 1990 bought my first golden named Kane. Kane was my best mate and we did everything together. Then came along Cascade which was the start of my Golden Retriever stud.

In 1992 I was diagnosed with cancer and my 2 friends were there with me every step of the way with licks and a shoulder to cry on. When I was given the all clear, I decided that they were the most loyal dog that I have ever met and so the first litter was born.

Many single, couples and families that have purchased a puppy have also enjoyed the wonderful temperament and loyalty of a Lisden Retriever. I only use the absolute best sires for my girls, this being Rose Easton “ Montego Golden Retrievers “.Over the years I have kept in touch with many families that have purchased a puppy to see how they are going and have made some wonderful friends in the process.

All puppies are microchiped, vaccinated, wormed and vet checked. The puppies that leave Lisden Kennels take to their new home their very own puppy pack. This includes all the registration papers of dad, mum and pup, their first day’s worth of meals and sample food and also their very own puppy portrait.

All my girls have hip, elbow, heart and current eye certificates, with two of my girls been used as Delta Society Pet as Therapy dogs visiting elderly residents in hostels and nursing homes to which the residents can brush them, take them for a walk or just a comforting cuddle at their leisure, it is truly a rewarding experience seeing the joy that the girls bring to these people.
